Dear Lord as we enter this weekend,
the first weekend of Lent.
We journey with you,
in prayer, fasting and almsgiving.
We offer our struggles and weaknesses
that you can guide us through.
We give thanks for this time of renewal
and the opportunity to come closer to you.
We give thanks, in Jesus name.
