Youth 2000 Festival:
Ampleforth Abbey

The National Office for Vocation will be joining hundreds of young people from around the United Kingdom at Ampleforth Abbey for the Youth 2000 Festival.
This page is here to help you find us throughout the weekend, plus we have designed some resources that can help you as you partake in the activities this weekend as you think about God's call.
Vocation Café
If you are attending, why not grab a coffee, and have a friendly chat with one of the team at the Vocations Café, look out for the red gazebo. The team who will be happy to walk with you.
Workshop
Join us on Sunday at 5:15pm for our Mission workshop, focusing on Encounter, Discipleship and Mission with our theme of 'I know him, because I am from him, and he sent me' (John 7:29). Look out for updates from the Youth 2000 Team as to the location of workshops on the day.
There are a number of other amazing workshops throughout the weekend! We advise you to attend in order to get the most out of your experience. Please see the list of workshops on arrival and where they are located.
Morning and Evening Prayer
Morning and Evening Prayer (Lauds and Vespers) will take place in the Abbey with the Benedictine Monks, who chant the Liturgy of the Hours.
We look forward to seeing you there, walking and praying with you throughout the weekend.

Packing List

All bedding is provided but please bring your own towels and toiletries. We also recommend you bring a pillow just for added comfort and a good night's sleep!

You may also want to bring a sleep mask, earplugs, and any medication you require.

There will also be merchandise for sale and a cafe on site, if you wish to bring spending money for them.

Please bring a water bottle that can be refilled.

We also recommend bringing a journal, pen, bible, and rosary beads if you have them.
